COVID-19 APPOINTMENT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Following our temporary closure on 20th March due to the Corona virus outbreak Finesse Aesthetics and Beauty is now happily looking forward to reopening its doors on Tuesday 21st July. Unfortunately this will be in a limited capacity as I will be following government guidelines which prohibit any facial treatments including brows and lashes. These restrictions will be lifted from August 1st when I will be able to offer my full service menu.

Those of you who have visited FAB in the past will appreciate the standards of hygiene and cleanliness were already extremely high, however I have put a few extra measures in place to ensure your future visits are as comfortable and safe as possible.  I hope you understand that this new way of working is for your safety and that you will follow and respect these guidelines.

TRAINING

I have taken a course in infection control and am licensed from BARBICIDE®,  I understand the risks of Covid-19 and haven taken all measures possible to mitigate them in the salon.

HEALTH CHECK

Please do not attend or book an appointment if

  1. you have recently developed any of the following symptoms
  • difficulty breathing
  • chest pain
  • headaches
  • joint or muscle pain
  • loss of taste and/or smell
  • severe lethargy
  • fever
  • runny nose
  • sore throat
  • persistent dry cough

2. if anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19

3. if you have been in contact with anyone else with COVID-19 in the last 7 days

Please reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks after your symptoms began, any deposit or prepayment you have made will be transferred to your new appointment.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with the new guidelines I am no longer able to accept ‘walk ins’, even if you just need to purchase products. Please schedule your appointments in advance either by telephone or as you leave your last appointment. If you require products please telephone your order through and book a slot for collection. Please don’t try to arrange/cancel appointments by social media or email, they often end up in junk and I don’t see them, plus with all these new guidelines to follow it will be much easier and quicker for us all to just have a quick chat.

Should you need to cancel an appointment pleaded do so by telephone (not social media or email) during my opening hours giving 48 hours notice where possible.

YOUR ARRIVAL

In accordance with guidelines, FAB will be operating a strict 1 client per clinician in salon at a time.

When you arrive, please wait in your car or outside the door and when I am ready for you, I will give you a call to let you know. Please be on time for your appointment, if you arrive too early, you will not be able to gain access, if late I may not be able to proceed with your treatment and this will incur a fee.

You will have your temperature screened by contactless thermometer at the door. Please do not be offended, this is to ensure the safety of everyone. I will also do a double check that you are feeling fine and are symptom free.

There will be a hand sanitisation and PPE station at the door and I will require all clients to sanitise their hands and wear a mask. Instructions or how to do so efficiently will be on the station.

You will be required to complete a COVID-19 Health Questionnaire & Treatment Consent Form to limit the transmission of the disease and to enable accurate track and trace procedures if required.

Please come alone to your appointment as I will be unable to accommodate guests during your treatment.

Please bring minimal personal belongings with you. Any items you do bring with you, including your phone will be stored away from the treatment room in a sanitisable tray which will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each client.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS INCLUDING YOUR PHONE DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT – NO EXCEPTIONS.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

Unless you are my first client of the day you will find your appointment time will need to be changed. This is to accommodate the 30 minute interval required between each client to enable thorough ventilation, cleaning and sanitation of the treatment room and to allow for extended check-in procedures. I am so sorry for any inconvenience, but again this is to protect everyone that enters the salon.

HOSPITALITY

Refreshments will no longer be available, however you may bring your own bottled water with you provided that you take the empty bottles away with you.

All magazines and salon literature have been removed to help limit the risk of transmission. My prices are available on my website along with lots of additional treatment information. You may also request a telephone consultation to discuss things more specifically.

WC FACILITIES

I have been advised that in a salon like mine, where there is just 1 WC, this should be kept for the sole use of the staff i.e. me, so I would ask you to make sure that you have used your own facilities prior to leaving home to avoid cross infection whenever possible.

If it is really necessary for you to make use of my bathroom, there are now small single use hand towels in situ and they should be placed in the contactless laundry bin provided after use. Following your visit the area will be thoroughly sanitised.

PPE, EQUIPMENT & LINENS

I will be changing into freshly laundered uniform on site and will be wearing full PPE including mask, visor, gloves, apron.

Where possible disposable items will used during your treatment.

A fresh set of equipment such as nails scissors, cuticle nippers, tweezers, etc will be provided for each client.

You will have your own nail file which will be hygienically stored until your next visit.

A fresh set of linen will be provided for every client and this will be laundered at 60 degrees minimum to ensure bacteria is destroyed.

CLEANING PROCEDURES

During the 30 minutes interval between clients all used areas/items such as the couch, manicure station, manicure lamps, door handles (inside & out), card machine etc etc will be thoroughly cleansed & sanitised.

In addition a weekly deep cleaning service will be carried out.
